J.S. Myers Paving

Road paving near Chapin in Lexington County, South Carolina was completed using Stalite Lightweight Aggregate as a lightweight road surface treatment material. The project demonstrates how Stalite lightweight aggregate can be used in asphalt surface treatments to improve bonding with asphalt emulsions while maintaining a durable roadway surface.

Because of its rough surface texture and lower unit weight, Stalite Lightweight Aggregate provides strong adhesion with asphalt and excellent skid resistance. These properties help reduce aggregate loss while improving the longevity and safety of surface-treated roadways.
