Description

The Great American Tower at Queen City Square is a 41-story, 665-foot Class A office tower located in downtown Cincinnati. Completed in 2011, it serves as the headquarters for Great American Insurance Group and remains the tallest building in the city.

The structural system incorporated high-strength structural lightweight concrete produced with Stalite Lightweight Aggregate to reduce dead load in elevated floor systems. By lowering overall building weight, the design team optimized column and foundation sizing while maintaining the strength and durability required for high-rise construction.

The reduced structural mass also improved efficiency in resisting wind forces, contributing to long-term structural performance and material efficiency.
