Description

The 130,000-square-foot Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum spans an entire city block in downtown Nashville and was constructed at a cost of approximately $37 million. The facility includes an 11,000-square-foot conservatory, a 214-seat theater, two large exhibit galleries, and state-of-the-art soundproof and audio/visual systems.

A total of 14,000 cubic yards of concrete were used in the project, including structural lightweight concrete made with Stalite Lightweight Aggregate for elevated floor slabs supported by metal decking and steel beams.

The use of lightweight concrete helped reduce dead load on the steel structure while improving fire ratings and overall structural efficiency, supporting the building’s distinctive architectural design.
